454 long block for sale in Austin $550
I've had this sitting in storage for 6 years...it's just as I pulled it from a wrecked '72 Chevelle; complete from heads down to oil pan (no intake, carb or distributor), but 32 year old grease and grime is included at no charge!
It's a '73 casting 3999289 block, either 2 or 4 bolt main (I don't know, and I'm not going to pull the pan to find out). Turns over easily...not frozen up. I don't know if it knocks, as I never heard it run. Heads are '71 dated big oval port, 113cc chamber, 3993820 castings. Perfect rebuild candidate, or stroke it to a 496. I rarely get online anymore, so if you're interested, give me a call at 512-461-6619. NO shipping...pick up only. I can hold on to it for awhile if you need to schedule a pick up. Casey
