Progress pics of the Sierra Grande
Galen (Donkey 69) was nice enough to spend a Saturday working on my project. Here's what 12 hours, pizza, beer, and grilled chicken can do:

I'm not trying to be a smart ass.... but were y'all taking it apart or putting it back together? Either way, that's way more than I've ever done in a day!

No worries, redneck, it is kinda hard to tell which way it's going. I can't figure out how the pic order is determined (never in the order I upload them).
To answer your question, it's going together. The reason it's not painted (or the motor isn't cleaned up), is the fact that I needed to get it in one piece to eventually move to IA. The more parts I can hang on the truck, the less loose parts I need to deal with. It's a HUGE boost to see it actually look like a truck again! I have a long way to go, but at least I can see a resemblence of what it will be (some day). It was a blessing and a curse to find such a well optioned truck! Stay tuned....

Looks great. Are you ging to keep it Olive? For some reason I think that color really fits a GMC.

I plan on keeping it the original olive/white 2 tone. It will match my olive Blazer with the white top! I have some pics around here when I got it, if I find them I'll throw them up here too.
Paul

Todd - I don't mean to start a fued here!!! lol
I am kinda moved right now. The family/necessities are in IA, but we still have the house/stuff in MN too. It's frustrating to live 300 miles from your project!!! That's whay I hit it hard when I'm home! Here's a couple of pics of what it used to look like (and will again!):
