My dash lights all quit working about a week ago. I checked all the fuses and decieded to go ahead with a headlight switch. The switch fixed my dome light which hadnt before but still no dash lights. Any ideas before I start pulling the cluster out?

Did you check for power at the fuse with the headlight switch on? Also, I would try replacing some bulbs before pulling the dash panel.

Mine did that a while back too. I replaced all the dash lights with the brighter versions (168 ? I think) and just cleaned all the connections on the circuit board and the switch and they work fine now.
I'm not sure what the cause was but I'm suspecting just a loose or slightly corroded connection somewhere.

Try your dimmer switch. It is part of the circuity. Normally only messes with the headlights, but with enough corrosion who knows. Mine didn't work when I bought it, but that was because all the bulbs were burnt out.

I had them all burn out at once..must have been a short or something. Checked everything else out and finally replaced all the bulbs..worked fine after.

Ill check out the bulbs then. I just didnt think they would all blow out at once but ive seen stranger things happen. Come to think of it, they went out when I installed a radio. I may have shorted something out or just unplugged something by axe a dent. Thanks, will post when I find it.

There's a little ground wire that clips to the back of the dash. I'm not sure if it has anything to to with the bezel lights, but you could try wiggling it a bit to see if it makes a difference. It should be clipped onto the metal sort of behind the oil pressure gauge, if I remember correctly.

That clip provides the ground for the dash. That where i would look next. Move it around to clean it a little. Hope that works for you.
