Fuel gauge
Does anyone know the wiring diagram for the 65 fuel gauge and sending unit from the tank. The brown wire from the sending unit on the tank I think is supposed to plug into the notched side terminal on the fuse block. There is a two pronged angle plug that has a red and brown wire that plugs into the back of the fuel guage itself. This doesn't make any sense to me because the actual sending unit on the tank has a seperate ground and a brown wire that is connected to a variable resistor unit inside the tank. I would have thought that this brown wire would have directly gone to the fuel gauge, and then the other side of the fuel guage should be 12 volts. I would greatly appreciate it if someone knew the correct wiring on this.

If I recall correctly, the brown wire just connects at the fuse block and then goes to the gauge. Check the red wire on the back of the gauge with the key on, it should have power. Then you can unhook the brown wire from the gauge and the sending unit, hook an ohm meter to each end and that should tell you if it's good. Hope that helps.
