Help starter wiring?

Does anyone have a starter wiring drawing for our trucks? I have been having charging/ starter problems, does the starter solenoid hot wire from the battery also run to the alternator to charge the battery?

The reason being is that when pulling my starter I pulled off one of the connections; so then I go to replace it and I have 4 wire total, I know one goes to my ignition switch but then I'm left with 3 other wires (Small ones) That I know one is supposed to be connoected to the hot but the other 2 I have no idea about.

Does this have anything to do with my truck being converted from a Diesel?

sorry, i didn't get any pics, but the fattest wire goes to the battery, the single wire goes to the s terminal, and the other 2 should be on one connector, they also go on the big one for the battery

you might also want to put a new positive battery cable on it while you have it off, it's cheap $7 insurance
