I know the Blazer and Burb tanks work for the pickup, but what about other years and makes? Can you run a tank from a '73-87? I'm not having much luck finding a 67-72 Blazer to get the tank from and I'm tight on funds. I do see a lot of '73+ trucks being parted out, I'm all for some minor modification if that's all it takes. Thanks,

I have a brand new tank kit for a Blazer that I will sell for $200 including shipping within the 48 states. It includes sender, straps, everything. I have decided to go new stainless instead of modifying this one for efi. You are saaving around $100.

I KNOW they can be had for $250, but I'm on tight funds trying to build the motor. I can get a '73 for $30, but don't want to spend $30 if I can't make it work.

The question is still:

Are there other years that work for a 67-72?

The truck only cost me $600 to start with, seems silly to spend $250 on a tank at that point.

Doesnt the 73 and up blazers have the filler neck on the passenger side?

As 70short/step stated the '73-up Blazer filler neck is on the opposite (passenger) side. There are two versions of these tanks--a 25-ish gallon and a 31-ish gallon. I've heard rumors this swap requires X-member modification.

Forgot to mention in my original post that I have the original tank out of my '69 K5 as well I would sell. Straps are rusty, bolts are no good. Tank is not all beat up but has a couple dents in the bottom. They are not all that bad. I was told it has a leak but I have not pressure checked it. It was holding a little more than a half tank of gas when I pulled it. I would sell it for $75 shipped. I will post a pic if anyone is interested.

I just pulled a 73-up tank out of 72Blazerman's blazer last night. The 73-up is not as tall as a 69-72 but it is a little longer. The 73-up tank will be too close to the rear end on a blazer or SWB pickup and might hit the rear...

Yes I do and it is a steel tank kit. I have one guy in line but he may take the used tank instead.
