Brake booster help
I have just set my new 468 in my 82 C-10 2wd, i had to remove my new aluminum tall valve covers so i didn't scratch them and when i went to put the drivers side on and the vacuum booster it in the way. I have had no luck locating a smaller booster so I found me a Hydro Boost system from a
85 half ton Sub, it looks like it will fit fine. I am asking any one for any suggestions to solve my problem. Or what problems that I might run in to thanks all |

Hydroboost systems work nice, it should bolt right in place of the vacuum booster. Just make sure to get all the lines to go with it and the PS pump, the pump has 2 return lines.

ok guys i have seen a few posts on these hydro boosts are there really any benefits from hydro to vacuum boosters? b/c i have a parts truck with one on it that i can change if they are better. my moto has always been if you make it go fast you have to make it stop fast.

Cool beans , I don't know myself if there are any benefits , or downfalls to using the hydro boost ,
all that I know is that I can save my vavle covers from damage and I think its kinda alien looking. I like it myself. Only thing is that I need a hose, one from pump to hydro unit. Any floating around I would be interested. Or know where I can buy fittings so I can make my own hoses. |

can you not just by new at parts store? factory replacment high preshure and then just the heavy duty thick hose that they sell for the no preshure returns? you no at like oreilly's, auto zone, and pep's etc

I had similar issues and went with the GMPP aluminum covers and a thick gasket to clear my roller rockers. I have plenty of clearance to remove the cover now. Good luck with the hydroboost.

No need for the dual return ps pump, just T both retun lines and it'll work fine
