Torque converter/flexplate?? help
yesterday i got the t/c put into the tranny i know i got the notches lined up and all cause it went the whole ways in and the fins on it almost rub the tranny. when i bolted tranny back to motor there is a gap big enough to fit my finger through btween t/c and flex plate. now qwestion is. can i just pull t/c out a lil till it hits flex plate or have i screwed sumthing up. really dont wanna bust sumthing in the t/c when i go to drive it casue parts store will only take it back if i havnt put tranny fluid to it. im confused wit this please help

The space you are referring to is normal. Just slide the t/c to the flex plate and bolt her down.

Depending how big your fingers are you may have too much clearance. You can shim up the gap with washers, but you should use a caliper to make sure they are flat and the same thickness. If the clearance is less than 1/4" you should be fine.

Sounds normal to me. Bolt it up good and tight.
