Anyone Repaired a Leaking Pwr Steering Box?

My power steering is leaking where the shaft that connects to the coupler/steering column comes out. I can buy a remanufactured one from AutoZone for about $140. They also sell a seal kit for $12.

Are all the gear boxes the same? I have no idea what year mine came off of. It is not original for my 69 SWB Step.

Do I need special tools to get the end off where the seal goes?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

no special tools needed.its been a while since i done one.the best i remember is when you remove the big nut on the end is to not let the sector shaft turn, you have to hold it still.if you let it rotate it will back the sector out.someone else can give you more input.
