Gauge Help
The pic of the dash at the bottom is what I want to accomplish. I think the best way of doing it would be to buy the dash trim piece and widen the holes but what is the best way of widening aluminum? any advice would be very much appriciated and pics of your dash are very welcome. I though someone on this forum posted a dash that was similer please help.

I have also been considering this type of dash for my '85. I have found the complete setup at www.covansclassic.com Aluminum bezel with Autometer guages is around $950.

Covans isn't aluminum. It is molded ABS with brushed finish. It looks like this

From what I have heard, Covans piece doesn't have the greatest fit and finish when installed. You can build your own for about 2/3 of what the Covan unit cost...and it will fit better. All you need are the gauges and overlay...and Painless gauge harness if you choose. I have about $750 in mine for EVERYTHING, and I had the fun of building it too.
