Looking for a soft top
Hi everyone , just found this site on the net and it appears to be a great one for Jimmy and Blazer lovers. I have a 1970 Jimmy I'm working on. I'd like to find a soft top for it and have been told there is one but have been unable to locate a maker. Can anyone help me out. (name, address, web site and price if possible).
I'm also looking for the following items - both front seats - rear seat - console - both doors (mine are from trucks and are rusty). I'm up in Canada, Regina Saskatchewan to be exact. Anyone down there close to the border that has any of these items for sale. My folks also go to Yuma Arizona for the winter and might be able to bring something back with them. For those about to ROCK we salute you. Thanks Scott |

There are two manufactures of tops for out Blazers.
Specialty Top Company - http://specialtytopco.com/ - personally, I like the looks of these best. They are available in Snaptop and Fast Trak Styles. I just put a new Fast Track on my '72 at the beginning of the summer and I have a snap style on my '69 (actually an old Kayline but STC uses the same patterns.) Bestop - http://bestop.com/ - In my opinion, these usually don't look like they fit as nice, but I have never seen one first hand, just the photos on the web. Welcome to the board and please post some pictures of your truck when you get a chance. We can never get enough Blazers!

Thanks to everyone who responded, I'll look into the sites given this weekend.
This looks like it's going to be an excellent site for information....I'll most likely need it..... first time at building my own. Hay bouncytruck how hard is it to put one on, does it come with good directions? I'm still looking for the above noted parts. The directions are ok. Test fit everything before you drill holes. You can actually download the directions from their site. It took me, alone, about 4-5 hours to install it, but I was moving really slow and double checking everything before finalizing.
Reproduction doors are available now, but they aren't cheap. Rear seats pop up from time to time. You may post a "wanted to buy" tread in the parts section. There are usually a few consoles for sale at any given time. The correct ones have square seat belt holders and the later model consoles have cup holders. If you aren't going original, I'd look for a cup holder version. Tuffy (http://www.tuffyproducts.com/) make some nice, steel consoles with locking compartments. Soft tops aren't very secure so if you want to keep anything in your truck, they are a good option.
