Looking for 2wd blazer

Greetings from Ohio, I usually kick back behind the scenes and don't contribute much since I'm no expert on the subject of Blazers. Seems as you guys are a knowledgeable bunch,I try to take in every post to gain that knowledge for when I get another blazer. I know there is a long line of people in front of me looking for that "one" blazer that hasn't been all over every site on the internet.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of a decent original driver quality Blazer, I would be interested. I just returned from IL, where I went to look at one that was on Ebay, the only thing original to the truck was the frame and firewall, it was a sliced and diced, wack and pack type of resto. I have a 2 wheel drive frame that I purchased from a fellow board member so a really nice 4x4 would be an option. My email is way2lo2@aol.com , all leads would be highly appreciated.
I have a few early 60's chevy wagons and belairs that I would trade up, down, or sideways or could buy a Blazer outright.

Are you taking about the green one on EBay right now. I've been taking to that lady about it, but I stopped after I asked her if the inside had rhino linning spayed on it..she said yes.

Just curious, what's wrong with the rhino lining? Is it that too many people use it to cover up problems?

No, it was a red one with a red grille that closed a few days ago, located in Illinois. Built from 2 separate trucks, the rear clip and title were from a Blazer, the firewall and windshield posts were from a GMC. The seller failed to mention that in the ebay ad or on the telephone conversation. Was kind of a nice old guy though, didn't mind the road trip too much, was going to Indy anyways.

I think you pretty much have to start from scratch or spend $20K on one like this or this.

Once in a while I still run into pictures of my old black blazer roadster with the laidback windshield posts and 67 front clip. I bought it out of the local paper back in 99 for 6k. I need to be kicked in the ass for selling it, went to a guy who had been looking for that particular truck for 10 years, now its in Cali, I believe.

I want Larry's truck bad. I'd trade my 2wd Blazer and my wife for that one.

Yeah, I emailed her back and forth a few times and she said there were a few different pieces they replaced due to rust. If there was rust in one spot, there could easily be some under the lining. I'll pass and spend my money on something a litttle more my style. Now I just need to fugure out what that is.

Boris, welcome to the board. It's Carter here, the one who bought the black blazer. This board is excellent, as I am sure you are aware. I have been on here since before I bought the blazer from you, and still here because the guys are great. I know that you will find a blazer and look forward to what you do with it once you get it. Then when you are done you can sell it to me. Guys, this guy know his stuff when it comes to early model 60 chevy stuff and airride.

Later
Carter
