Question Transmission Vacuum Line hook up

Hi new to the board and am in need of some information..... imagine that...

72 K20 - 350/350

Where should the vacuum line to the transmission be connected to the motor/carb?

It has an edelbrock carb on it with 3 ports on it. Currently two of the three are used - 1 to oil breather, 1 to dist. vac advance & 3rd is plugged.

I bought the truck recently and this line was not connected and no open connectors that I can see.

thanks

Mike Z

Welcome to the board. If you look on the back of the carb by the base, there is a port there.

If it is a stock intake behind the carb is a tap on the intake where the vacuum canister runs. There is normally a "T" for it there. If you have power brakes the back hole is used. The trans is looking for full vacuum, So front-back bottom hole or the driverside front pipe.

Sorry almost forgot to say WELCOME to the board.

Talking

Here is a pic of the vacuum line hookup, (I made the line but it is similiar to the factory line). The open end of the tee is for the vacuum line to the brake booster.

Thanks for all the help. will have to add a T on the manifold, as the vac hose for the brake booster connected there.
