Since you live in Georgia, Those of us in Kansas won't be able to help you much. With the price of dinosaur blood, I wonder what you really want to do for an engine. I see that your budget is small and that will really hurt you. A decent salvage yard purchase will be starting at $300 for a good motor and then it climbs from there as to what you buy for what age motor it is. I just rebuilt the one in my truck and the valve train was more than what I read in your first post, that you have to spend. It is easy to gobble up a few dollars quick in a motor.
my suggestion would to be look for a gm 350 motor (most common and what you have under the hood will mount to it the easiest. second try to get all of the brackets with it so that there are no issues with a shortage of parts. Last edited by piecesparts; 09-04-2005 at 12:05 PM. |
