Anyone know the color

I need to get some paint for my rockers etc. The truck is a 71 and is Red with just a hint of orange in it. Any idea of what or how I can find out what color it's called? My Jimmy is the same color.

Do you have any reference to paint codes on the options list? Do you still have the options list? Usually a sticker on the inside door of the glove box. That is, if you are trying to track down original paint. Otherwise, take it to a paint shop and see if they can match it up.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.

Huck.. I think that color is called cardinal red and the paint code is like 73 or something like that... I had a 1980 blazer and was that color and the GM paint chips for that color were the same for a long time and I would bet that thats the same color.... some people actually call it orange, heck my fiends called it ernie orange after the muppet on sesame street... hope that helps.. i dont know if you have a base/clear or single stage paint, but sometimes taht can make a difference, check it out b4 you go to pick up the paint or have some one else squirt it....

Here is the vehicle I'm redoing. Already have the rockers cut out and just need the inners before I weld , prime and shoot. Looks more red then the other, no? Is the color code actually on the glove box build option list?
