lube for plastic bushings?
i am rebuiding my brake pedal assembly. there are 2 plastic bushings that the pedal hangs on. the axle(if thats the right word) that the pedal pivots on was big time sticky. i cleaned it all up, painted it all and got a better set of bushings from another pedal. now that i am ready to re assemble the whole thing, i can't figure out what kind of lube to put on the bushings. axle grease doesn't sound right, or maybe it is... i don't know. what do you guys think?

Howdy; They shouldn't need lube, but silicone spray wouldn't hurt them.

well, without lube, the steel shafts would quickly rust, causing more friction/problems than ever. A little bit of grease (any kind) would do that area justice. BTW: Those "plastic bushings" are still available from GM ( or at least they were 6-months ago)

yes they are the white plastic bushings. there was some kind of grease there when i dissasembled it but i don't know what kind. i have some of the lube for poly suspension bushings as mentioned above, i think i will just use a dab of that. it may not be the best, but it'll do i guess.
