I MUST go back

on Saturday moring I was at a local bone yard scrounging for a hub cap with my mom. (lawn ornament project of hers) we decided to take a long walk down to where they keep the dozen or so 67-72 GM trucks to see what they had as future reference. I was kind of hoping to find a radio delete plate or other small goody as I didnt bring much cash. when low and behold I saw it. a PERFECT 67 Chevy grille assembly. it is painted instead of chrome (good for me) with absolutely NO DENTS OR DINGS!!! so, I started drooling over this miraculous find inspecting it from every angle. I then got to thinking about what they will want for it. thats when I lost interest. so......we go to the office to pay for her hubcap & Mom asks what they wanted for the grill off of truck #blah-blah-blah. not bad Mom, thanks for the effort. then he says $50!!!!!!!! I say "really!?" then Mom says "should I get my purse?" well he77 yes!!!! by all emans I will even run out to the car for you.

anyone else have a rocking Mom?

surprisingly, my mom has been apreciating the efforts on the4 longhorn.
She didn't like the GMC one bit... no one did it seemed. But bringing her home from work every night, she notices something new and comments on it, and starts askin questions, not just blowin smoke, but actually interested-ish.
She would never be cought dead in a junk yard parking lot...let alone going through the yard it's self.

My Grandma used to pull cars with my truck while Grandpaw was riding in the towed car to stop it, I remember riding in the truck while they used to do that, it was awesome.
