Wanted Emergency brake for SM465

need the emergency drum brake and all the parts to bolt on the back of a SM465, if they exist. Next option would be backing plates for emergency brake cables on a Eaton HO52 or HO72. I want to put an SM465 in my 83 C20. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a backing plate and a drum for one...This is the same as a 67-72 truck on the backing plate, and the drum is any 6 lug 50 -70 chevy truck drum...You should find this stuff local, and don't forget to look at motor homes, and school buses alot of dump trucks have them too.

This is a C20, 8 lug, Eaton. Are you saying the 6 lug 67-72 drum diameter is the same?
I haven't really thought to check the factory manuals on drum size, Thanks for the idea.

I'm interested, but as you say the shipping could be high. I several from the earlier SM420, if any of the parts would interchange. I tried to get a rate from FedEx ground, but I need your zip(?). I could weigh my parts to get close. I'll have to double check the tranny to make sure it's a 465 and not a 435. Thanks

Bisquik65, Eviidently the 77, TH400 is not the same as a SM465. I just looked at the 68 factory manual and it showes two emergency (Parking) brakes for 68. One is an external band and the other is internal expanding, much like what's on the wheel. The external band has 4 bolts that hold the brake disk to the output shaft, and the internal has 8 lugs that hold the drum on the output shaft.
