New wheels ordered need tire sizes
I have some new wheels coming in on Wed. and I need help with tire sizes. I'm getting 20"/8.5" and 20"/10" and I have a 4/6 drop. pictures would help. These are the wheels. Also, what can I treat these with to reduse maintenance?

My buddy had a 85 with a 5/7 and BCoddington Smoothie II's and 245/40/20 and 295/40/20 and it looked great.
The BCoddingtons in that series IMO have the worst finish and honestly I don't think you can do much other than try and polish them regularly. Last edited by Izzy; 09-12-2005 at 03:37 PM. |

I don't know if you can use it on chrome, but both our car and truck have alloys and we use the wheel cleaner with Teflon in it (can't remember brand) and whenever anything gets on them (even brake dust) you can just wipe it off.

as soon as you get them...if they are up to your standards WAX THEM!!! seriously go get some nxt wax and just keep putting that on there...you wont ever have to polish them!

Wax them. All of the Boyd cast wheels are somewhat porous so they suck up brake dust. If you get a good protective coat of wax on them right away and stay on them they will look good for much longer.
Here's my 77 with 245/40/20 and 295/40/20-

sweet wheels, id go with 245/40/20 and 275/35/20 if you want same height all around if not id go with a set up like n2tux with a beefier rear tire 245/40/20 up front 295/40/20 out back.

use zoops polish on it its a cleaner that protects them like wax i seen it used on truck tv

I have a '76 K15 and want to get new wheels. Can you post more information about the one's you orderd. They look great. Any info will be appreciatd.

You can find all the info >here I think im going with 245/440/20 and 295/40/20. I wanted the BFG g-force kdw 2 but I can't find them in those sizes. Tire linky
