TPI Intake Complete $200 plus s/h

As title says, I am parting a 1985 Trans Am with TPI. TPI is complete with Intake, Plenum, Runners, Fuel Rail, Fuel Injectors, Throttle Body, Distributor and anything else intake related. Asking $200 plus S/H which should be between $35.00 and $50.00 depending on where you live. It is missing the distributor cover which can be found on Ebay. Get the one for the vette, they are aluminum verses the plastic ones found on the camaros.

Engine is shot, has rod knocking but other than that the TPI runs fine. Also selling the accessories and brackets from it(not serpentine) and 700R4 Trans.

Does that include the computer and wiring harness too?

Is it a 305 or 350?

Its from a 305 so should have 19lb injectors. You can run them in a larger motor by bumping up the fuel pressure with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator or just get the 22lb or larger injectors on Ebay. Injectors are the only difference on the TPI Intake systems between the 305 and 350.

I could throw in the harness and computer for an additional $25.00. ($25.00 for computer and harness is free, its an 85 so i'm sure there are some spliced wires somewhere in it)

I'm interested in this. What blocks will it fit on without modification?
Is it mass air or speed density?

It is from an 85 so it did not have center bolt heads. It will fit all older model chevy V8's without modification. It can also be used on the later center bolt head you just have to drill the center bolt holes to a straight up and down hole. Will not fit Vortec heads without the Scoggin Dickey Vortec Base but everything else will work with it.

It is a Mass Air system but can be converted to Speed Density if you want to due away with the MAF. Maf sytems due better with cams and larger Cubic Inch Engines without custom Proms..........jt

I dont have the MAF for the TPI system. Got a good deal in a trade for C5 corvette Brake brackets for my Camaro. Sorry

Mileage on the car is 139k, Not sure if the trans has ever been rebuilt but it pulls fine with engine knocking and all. Shipping would be crazy on the trans though. Shipping would be $35.00 to you.

I imagine I would need an O2 sensor, fuel return line, and fuel pump to make this work, correct??? Missing anything?? Wouldn't an aftermarket wire harness be needed?? In '85, did they use a 9th injector, will this work good with a CompCams 268 grind camshaft?? I know it is alot of questions, but, well you know...

Yes, you will need an O2 Sensor, you can just weld on o2 Bung to your existing exhaust. Cant anwser the return line but even if you did it would be low pressure. Yes you will need a fuel pump either an in tank which may be difficult in your case or an inline that puts out 45-50 psi. ban aftermarket harness isnt completely necessary you can splice into the stock harness but the aftermarket would make it alot easier. 85's did have the 9th Injector also know as the cold start injector. I will anwser what I can but you may want to look at www.thirdgen.org in the TPI section for better technical advice. The 268 Cam isnt bad, i believe the Maf would have no problems with it. You may want to get the 22lb or even 24lb injectors though..............jt
