Wink Could'nt sell, but that's fine....

About 4 mounths ago I brought the 69' up to Sandwich,IL to a friend of mine who was going to try and sell it at his car dealer, under the orders of the ALMIGHTY (my wife). Well about one week ago he brought it back to me and said he was unable to sell it, well the wife is pissed but I don't care I got my baby back an now it is in the garage, and her Mitsobishi or what ever the hell the thing is called that I have to make payments on isen't anyaway I was thinking of making it alot more nicer I'll take the gas tank out and clean it out or maybe just replace it What do you think? and I will definately leave the 3.07 rear end in there cause of that damn Hurricane rose gas prices to 3.62 for Unleaded a couple days ago!!! , maybe I'll rebuild the dash heater and air conditioning control. Also I was noticing a small amount of rust on the bed sides and the rear of the hood... I have'nt done body work in well since the early 70's with my 66' vette, oh man that was a sweet car 427 cu.in 435 HP 3, 2 barell Holly carbs, 4 spd manual factory. I sold that when the first gas shortage started.oh sorry to get off the subject there. Well that's all for now what do you think??

HA!! It seems to be catching! My 69 swb kicked my wife's Mist. Montero out of the carport too! Heck yeah, fix her up. With gas prices high, now's the perfect time for a pet project.

BTW...

Where are you at that the gas is up to $3.62? Here in Kentucky it is not around $2.96. Glad to here you get to keep the truck. Some wifes just do not understand.

Yes, I know. Seems the closer you get to California the cheaper the gas gets and it use to be the other way around. I have a daughter who lives in Southern California and that is about what she is paying now.

I'm up here in New Lenox Illinois, and about 1-2 weeks ago I saw 3.62 for unleaded at this gas city, but that place is known around here for the highest price of gas, now it is down at the same place to 2.92 thank god!
