I have a Holley 390 CFM that I would be willing to sell, it was completely rebuilt.
I'm asking 175.00 shipping included
I had it on my inline 6.

Thanks
Chad

650 is a little much but should run fine. with the truck running adjust the floats so fuel is just at the bottom of the sight hole. it should just barley trickle out. on the secondary side you should adjust go 3/4 throttle quick then look and readjust as you need to pull fuel out of that bowl to lower the float. hook up a vac gauge and aadhust the idel mixture for max vac be sure to turn both the same amount 1/8- 1/4 turn at a time most.
You can also step down a few jet sizes this is also easy. check what you have with the floats corrected and good idel mix you may be ok there. Holley are the best carb out there if tunned corretly. Any local performance sho has holley jets .

300 or 400 cfm is wayyyyyy too small for a 305 inch motor. your carb just needs adjusted

that floats must be too high and its possible the timing is off as well. the carb needs to be adjusted properly.

Floats too high and or PV blown. Nothing wrong with using a 650 CFM vac sec carb on a 305. A q-jet in stock for will flow 750-780 cfm of course the demand has to be there to pop the secondaries full open to see that kind of flow.
