Another power steering question
Is it difficult to install the rag joint? When I tried to put it on the new rag joint onto the p/s gearbox, it didn't seem to want to go on..

Are you sure that you have the right rag joint assembly for the power steering gear that you are trying to install? In 1977 or 78 the input shaft for the steering gears got smaller in diameter. A lot of the parts places do not know the difference. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Well, that's what I'm wondering. It came in a small white box along with the other $1000 worth of stuff I ordered :P I need to see if there is a number on the joint but I don't think so.
I just can't imagine this is the correct one. Either that or I wound up with the wrong steering box....ugh. |
