Lightbulb Cool GM Site

I was searching around for GMC paint codes when I came across this GM site. I'd never heard of it before, but it's cool.

http://www.gmphotostore.com/

I already sent them a note about including more 67-72 trucks. I hope you all do the same. If they open their archives we could see some rare and very cool pictures.

'05 Sierra 4x4 - Had 270,000 KM and running well when it was written-off by a stop sign runner.
'94 F-150 from the "F word" company. I'll admit it...good truck. Sold what was left of it for $800 to a guy who came to pick it up at 11:00 PM with cash in hand. Hmm.
'79 Sierra Grande (Black) organ donor - perfect rebuildable 4-bolt 350 and a good TH350.
'76 Sierra Grande (Orange) - hate isn't too strong a word. Kid who bought it turned it into a hot rod.
'68 C-10 R.I.P. - Dad's old truck...too far gone to resurrect.
'59 C-50 - with hoist. Truck is gone, wife isn't. Nuff said.

I did the same thing and they e-mailed me a number of pictures of our trucks on the assembly line and other promotional photos (I had seen many of the promo ones before). I wanted to be able to share them on the board, but they wanted me to guarantee that the images would be copyright protected, and I wasn't able to do that. I still have them on my computer, and it would be nice to able to post them here (hint to moderators)...

Cool site. Did you see the 67 Suburban with the 67 Delivery in the Delivery Truck folder?

grebus1 - they actually e-mailed some pics? Good deal. With the run-away popularity of our trucks, it seems odd that they don't have more pics to offer.

Yes they e-mailed about 15 different pictures to me. My request was made through the media section of the GM archives--I corresponded back and forth with a nice woman there who ended up sending the pictures. It sounded like she e-mailed me most of what was available for the '67-'72 models (I was most interested in assembly line and dealer lot photos, but got quite a few other ones too).

Oh, and there were more than a few featuring GMC trucks...
