These hooks came from the factory on my uncles 62 1/2 ton 4x4, I think they look right at home on these trucks. On the 67/68 these hooks curl out instead of in because theres just not enough room between the bumper and leaf spring mounts to mount them.
I think it was just a carry over part that didnt work out so they were redesigned for the 69 up trucks. On 2 wheel drive trucks they mount with the open hook to the rear as should be because there are no leaf spring mounts.

Blazerman...on the '62 (I'm not familiar with 60-66 Trucks) what do the frame horns look like or what are they resting against that makes them angle like that? It sorta looks half-cocked from the frame...hard to tell how they actually mount cause the bumper blocks that view...

The next time I go over there I will take some better pics, I think there is an angled extension on the frame they sit on.

Are there any more pics of these hooks?? I am curious about thickness at the mounting eyes/bosses and size of bolts?? Any more on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
