i have a 68 gmc and am swaping the stright 6 for a v8 and need clutch linkage the truck had a 3 spd and i am putting a 5 speed but the 6 cly linkage mounts off the block and i need linkage for a v8 i only need everything outside the fire wall

I did the same swap in a 1969 K20, all I did was remove the bracket that bolts to the 6 cyl via two bolts. The pivot ball stud then scews directly into the V-8. The bracket just makes up for the difference in engine width.
