Stereo Help
I'm restoring a 68 swb, but I have a prob with my 98. I bought a stock stereo / cd player for it. I was told it would fit no prob. But it's the same cd player as my o1 chevy. The main plug fits, but theres an extra plug receptical on the opposite side of the main plug. The cd works, and am. But the fm dont work. Can anyone help? I would greatly appreciate it.

Is it possible the antenna isn't hooked up? I know the '99 - '03 silverado/sierra have a special "mini plug" for the antenna. If the antenna isn't hooked up, you aren't gonna get FM and your radio will be missing yet another possible ground. Make sure that antenna is hooked up.

if it gets am the antenna is hooked up it sounds like a bad unit to me. the extra plug is probably for the slave cd thats lower in the dash
