Q's regarding cab mounts and ride height - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

So I have a 70 c-10, lowered 3/4 with Brothers springs and Doetsch Tech shocks. My drivers' side is sagging a little- my cab mounts are worn, so I ordered some urethane ones up the other day. Well, I can see how cab mounts being worn out will change ride height at the front, but it seems like in the rear, the drivers' side is also lower- but there is no mounts unde the bed that will sag...is there? I just want my truck to be even all the way around. And while I'm at it, the mounts are pretty straight forward? Support the cab, remove old bushing and slide new one in?? I have a bunch of questions that I know are somewhere on this board- but the search function isn't the greatest :P

Evs-One, All good questions. I redid my cab mounts last fall.

There should be 4 cab mounts, 2 in front (1 for each side) 2 in back (1 for each side).

The bed has square pieces of rubber, that are maybe an 1/8" thick (just a guess).
Sometimes the cab or bed needs to be shimmed. I use washers to even it out. There is probably a better way.

I bought my cab mounts from Year One, I was not impressed. I did not get all hardware like it stated I would. If I did it all over again, I would use a board vendor.

Only remove one side at a time and please put something under the wheels to keep it from rolling. Sometimes the truck can be kicked into neutral doing this.

Only other suggestion I have is if you haven't done your core support mounts recently, do them also. This way all the mounts are new and fresh and the alignment of body panels is a bit easier.

on the crooked rear... Measure the frame rail to the pavement (park on levelish ground) this will tell you if you have a body mounting issue... or more likely, a suspention/tire/frame issue.
I've honestly never had one that was perfectly level.
