body lift

I was looking at putting a body lift in my truck, I would like to do a suspension lift but thats a lil more money than I want to spend plus the cops measure frame heights around here, anyways I was looking at a performance accessories 3" lift for $168.00 through Summit, is that about right or is there a less expensive place to order. Id be lifting my 97 pictured below

try this one it will save you $30 summit part number SUM-7811300

Their is one other way but you will need to make your own bumper mounts or leave them in the stock location. Alot of guys have used hockey pucks and bought bolts from a local hardware store. if you go that way you can do it for around $50.

OK so I ended up buying a performance accessories 3" body lift, I think its going to look good but a few people think that its going to look stupid since Im not going any bigger on the tires, I just bought the BFG's in the above picture size LT270 75 17's (think 75 is right I dont feel like looking) but you get the idea, so my question will it look alright?

Well a lot of the reason people put a lift on there truck is for clearance for bigger tires. I happen to think it defeats the purpose if you don't. 3" is not a lot but it will make your tires look kinda small and funny. Just my 2 cents.

Sell Them

You might consider trying to sell them. I would list them on here if they are not too old and maybe you can get most of what you put into them back. Then you could buy your new tires. Either way the lift will be nice and when you do get an appropriate tire size it will be even better. post some pics and let me know how it looks when you get it on.

it should look alright for awhile but when you upgrade to a larger size you'll love the look and performance of the whole kit

put the lift in friday night, wasnt too bad took 5 hours looks pretty good, I think its only noticeable when you try to get in, the steps are bugging me though they look crooked think I may have put the brackets backwards not sure, I think summit may have sent the wrong ones looks kinda odd I would have thought they would go to the back of the cab like I have seen on most.
