Center caps for my ralleys??
I bought a set of truck ralleys, but I guess there are different center caps for 2wd vs. 4wd?? Anyway the ones I have are for a 4wd and I need a set for a 2wd. Where can I buy a nice set of these or does anyone have a set that they would like to trade. Got any pics of the ones I'm looking for?? I think they just have a bowtie in the center. Oh, by the way, these are six lug caps that I need. Thanks, AP.

Those wheels only came on 4wds.So,you need two pairs of rear caps. The 4x4 center is a sticker. From the dealer, you can order bowtie center decals the same diameter. They are for the late 70s/early 80s ugly full wheelcovers with the six fake lugs.

duke10 I can e-mail you some pics if you'd like, but I don't want to sell them unless I am able to get some replacements.
Big Orange my ralleys don't look much like the ones in your picture, mine have slots all the way around and the center cap is much taller and says 4x4 and the caps are held in place by 3 screws. Special-K I think I have two sets of rear caps already, since none of the four have an open center cap. Not sure however.

I had the same problem. I used 99-05 factory take off chrome caps. They look awsome. They are six lug and fit perfectly. They are about $30 each from the dealer, but I scored mine at a salvage yard. I can get you a set. The only problem is they use dual threaded lug nuts that are metric from the factory (there are black covers that screw on them to hold the cap on). I ordered 7/16 x 20 dual thread nuts from O'Rielly's and they work great. I'll try to post a pic for you.

Dave, That's a really cool idea, did you also have to replace the studs to use the metric lug nuts??

No, you have to buy dual threaded 7/16 x 20 or 1/2 x 20 lug nuts, depending on you lug size.

4wd has 6 lugs, 2wd has 5 lugs. There are repops of the 4wd center caps, they are all plastic, but look great. I got a set of the wheels about a year ago & they gave me a new set of centers.....4 with 4wd stickers, then I bought a set of stickers similiar to Big Oranges at a swap meet and put them over the 4wd stickers. Not sure where to buy the repops, check with your local aftermarket wheel company. Greg

Thanks for the advise, I'm finding out there's a lot more to this stuff than meets the eye. I thought ralleys were ralleys. Thanks everyone I think I got it now. Dave, I think I'll go with what you did with your truck. You mentioned that you could get me a set of the caps like the ones in your picture. If that's still possible, let me know. AP

If you want to drive to Fort Wayne (Indiana) there is a hubcap shop there that sells either original or reproduction of either the original or the later model caps you said you like in the pictures. Just west of the intersection of Lima Road and Coliseum Blvd. They should also have the stickers for the center if you just want those.
