would a 4.3 get better MPH?

I'm nto going to be doing any hauling with my truck. Should I put in the 4.3/700r4 combo if I want better milage? Right now I have a Olds rocket 350 with a TH350....I'm gett'n 8 MPG. The 4.3 has a new throttle body kit installed with new injectors.

Asuming you have a 3.73 gear, if you tried, I would guess that you'd get MAYBE 16 MPG at best.
In all reality, i would figure your MPG would go up to 12 or so on normal daily driving.
It would be TOTALLY gutless compaired to what you are used to, and it would be a bit of work to do the instalation too.
