From this weekend's carshow...
One of the cleanest black SWB's I've ever seen. It's straight everywhere... and I mean EVERYWHERE.

That is straight...I like it too! I also love a clean painted bed floor...nothing looks better!

I have many hours of grinding, banging, filling, and sanding on my bedfloor and I'll put money on it that it's not going to be that clean. damnit

Yes, I know about bedf loors and how they were meant to be used, and I also know most people disagree with painting them. BUT, everyone has to admit, they do look sweet when they look like they rolled off the showroom floor!
My truck won't be used as a truck anymore, that's why I'll buy another 73-87 long bed soon...so I can use IT as a truck.

Nice truck! I love clean bed floors too. I put a bed mat in my 77 so I could have the best of both worlds. The paint is nice, but I need to be able to haul things when I go to shows. Consider a bed mat if you like a "semi" functional bed.
Got any other pics of the show?

Yeah, nice looking truck and straight especially the bed.
Throw on a tonneau cover and a bedrug and use it as a trunk. But, it would be a shame to cover up that bed.

i am like you as far as a straight painted bed my bed has had a drop in since new and other than a few rub marks it is a perfect floor i have decided to spray liner mine so that i can show off the staight bed like he did and not have to worry about scratching it i dont thing i am going to spray the top of the rails i am leaning towards diamond plate strips or caps however they are titled all the way around (i like chrome also)

I found in the past that the caps tend to hold water and leave dirty trails everywhere, so I went with round "Bed Bars" on mine for awhile, until I put the hard tonneau cover on. They kept the stupid hits and chips in the paint from happening. I and my son were at the weekend show also. we were parked on the South side of the park just off of the vendors area. There were a lot of trucks from this era at this show.

I have a floor just as nice as the one in the picture except for the paint. No dents but some primer is showing and skid marks where things have slid across the floor. The body man I talked to about painting my truck someday said that is one of the best looking floors he seen with the age of my truck. The floor will also be painted. That is why I have a 5'X10' tilt trailer with a wood floor to haul my stuff after getting it painted. I may also lay down a rubber mat. Not sure. I am also thinking of taking the molding off of the sides and rear lint the one in pictures above. What do you guys think?
