109910 Special two-tone pa

Looking for photos of a truck with this option, mainly of the tailgate. My GMC has this along with option. 146410 wht/lt yellow/wht/l
Truck has gray primer on it, but looks like orange on the tailgate in places. With the tailgate painted in layers, due to the letters I'm not sure about sanding spots on the tailgate to see what it may have been.
My longhorn also has the 146410 wht/lt yellow/wht/l and a few of the places on the side of the GMC that I can see match the longhorn, just not sure how the tailgate was done.

That is just your paint scheme.

It looks like this (if I recall correctly). only in light yellow, not orange:

Ooops. Now I see your 109910 option. Don't know. Keep sanding and let us know. I image that could be any color under there.

Do you have a "FTO" number in the SE field of the glove box sticker?
If so, supposedly GM would have the information on that truck for the special options (so they say) which would maybe tell you what color it was originally. I haven't heard of anyone able to track down an FTO number though.

He probably had the yellow tailgate with the insert white and the letters yellow. I have seen some gmc's like that.

SE field is blank.
Option 146410 wht/lt yellow/wht/l would be the same as my long horn, but it does not have the 109910 option listed.
The GMC Tailgate apears to have yellow on the top section, and orange in the inset were the handle is.

Thanks for the info. I just can't picture that truck with an orange band on the tailgate. Doesn't the yellow and orange colors clash?

With the GMC having the same paint code as the longhorn, I've been thinking about doing it back to the org color and not parting it out. Just not sure about the 109910 option.

Roger,
I think the "D99 TWO TONE PAINT MOLDING" may be the same as the belt and body side molding that is listed on mine.
