Front Coils?

The 68 I'm building has the 73-up disk conversion on it and was wondering if the ciol springs are the sam from 67-72 and 73-87? I have 2in drop springs in the front but it sure looks low for only 2in. And how can I tell if it has drop spindles?

pretty sure the springs are the same, we just put '76 3/4 ton springs in the front of my buddies truck, cut them down a little cuz it's lowered. the stiffer springs really helped body roll, but not the ride!

I thought they were the same,it's hard to say since the sheet metal is finally going back on. Any way to tell between stock and drop spindles?

There would be a difference in 6 cyl and v8. I have some extras if you want to try different ones, I think I have used standard V8 and new HD V8 that were to stiff for my project.

You can look in Early Classic's website for the spindle thing. Their front disc brake conversion picture has one stock and one drop spindle in the picture. The spindle spud is very close to the lower ball joint hole on a stock spindle and several finger widths above the hole on a dropped spindle.
