valvetrain ????

how much lift can stock valve springs handle on a chevy small block.....does the engine displacement matter....the year of the heads....stuff like that..just wondering, my friend wants to get a cam (he doesn't wanna buy new springs and seats and stuff) for his new 350 he is gonna put in his SWEET ASS 62 NOVA...and i have told him about this booard and the awesome responces i get so...THANK EVERYONE heres a pic of his baby just for sh*ts and giggles....i am proud of this car....i work on this thing more than i do my truck (cuz my friends got the fundage)..that angel stadium in the background .....what was the question?
