I recently found a factory am/fm radio in a junkyard and it needs to be rebuilt. It will be awhile until it gets put in the truck but just was wondering if there were any places out there that will rebuild an old Delco radio.

Look in Hemmings. There are some there. That is where the PO of the am/fm I have in my '70 had it restored but do know know who. But there are a lot of people there that does this.

Yep, 86swb was right- you can check www.hemmings.com- there's several sources there. The guy in CA I mentioned address is: www.classicradio.com. This guy was nice to e-mail & was very helpful and had pretty decent rates, also. If I remember correctly, if you have an AM-only radio, he'll also convert it to AM/FM. Good that you found an original AM/FM! I've never seen one but would like to find one some day...someone here sold me an AMer that I'm going to have to find some time to install in my '69. My main forte is AM listening & Ham radio anyway....Bud

wow thanks guys. I was afraid it was a lost cause. It's going to be awhile until it's time to put the radio in the truck but thought I'd check to see if it was worth putting in or not.
