Do the bucket seat sliders come apart for service? I am cleaning and painting the seat track and I can't seem to get the sliders apart. anyone know how?

Sorry, I guess no one really knows. If they did you would have gotton an answer. You do not get ignored on here. If someone knows an answer to a question you ask they will answer you. Hope you here from someone who might know. I do not know the answer to your question. Maby they do not come apart. If still no answer, just paint and grease. That is what I would do.

Thanks for your reply and I always appreciate the input from the board. I know that I am not being ignored. Iam down to two choices Dynamite or leave it alone and grease. maybe ill leave it alone!

I USUALLY JUST SPRAY THEM OUT GOOD WITH CARB. CLEANER OR BRAKE CLEANER & RELUBE THEM WITH SOME AROSAL WHITE LITHIUM GREASE AFTER I PIANT THEM. IT'S BEEN AWHILE , BUT IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THERE IS A COUPLE OF RIVITS HOLDING THEM TOGETHER. SORRY ABOUT NOT RESPONDING SOONER, BUT I TRY NOT TO SEEM LIKE A KNOW IT ALL, & GIVE OTHER PEOPLE A CHANCE TO ANSWER. (UNLESS THEY ARE HANDING OUT SOME BUNK ADVICE.

Thanks for your reply John. It looks like the rivets would have to be ground off to get the rollers out as they are not the POP rivet type. I think I will take your advice and clean paint and relube. Thanks again for the reply!

My sliders were from a 69 style bucket seat, they are held together by rivits that would need to be drilled out to take apart. So, I kept mine in one piece, cleaned them up, and lubed it up good with grease.
