Pretty sure
I can't remembe exactly where the cut-off is, but I think it's down near 3.08 or so. One carrier is for 3.08 (or something like that) and lower numerically and the other is for the higher numerical gears. I'm 99% sure you're good to go.

No, you more than likely have a three series carrier, and 4.11s have a four series carrier.

According to my Jeg's catalog, the range for a 12 bolt truck is 2.76-3.42 and then 3.73 and up. This applies to both Auburn and Eaton (the only two they carry), so I think you're good to go.

Phatcat, it looks like we're going to have to find out what kind of posi unit you have.

Yes you have a series 4 and stock 4:10's will work. A side note, most aftermarket gear makers have gears to fit both, as in they have 3:73's, 4:10's for both, even 4:56's for both.

posi
The deal is I found some nos GM 4.11 gears. And a stock posi carrier out of a 3.73 rearend. My current 12 bolt is a 3.73 but no posi. I just want to make sure these will work together before I buy them..
