big block mounts

You used small block mounts. The big block mount is a two piece mount that bolts to the block and one comes in from under the mount to sandwich the frame mount. I would not trust one bolt and a washer to hold my motor in for too long.

So I can't get the correct motor mounts anymore for these stands? What year stands do I have to get-72?

First off I do not want to step on toes here. I hear you can use a motor mount for a small block on these (I wouldn't, but appaerently I am the minority here). The original style BBC mount is available from obsolete chevy and they cost $175 a piece. I can't take a picture because I just moved and have no internet at home with the camera, I am using work comp to post, but there is a very notable difference between the $9 Autozone mount and the correct factory mount. Please do not feel that I am trying to quash the sale of these mounts, I personaaly bought mine at a bone yard and am happy, but the $350 for the correct rubber mounts floored the wife, and me too when she whacked me!! My 2 cents that all.
