I am sure this has been brought up numerous times but oh well here goes again?
Which sound deadner seems to the best for the money?
Dynamat
B-Quiet
Brownbread
Edead
Fatmat
Rattletrap

I haven't done the truck yet, but I used two products in my vette. The hatch is done with noisekiller, and the footwells are done in brown bread. The noisekiller was a heavier duty product, but harder to work with and it cost more. I think they went out of business though. Brown bread is a really nice product for the price, and I will be using it throughout the interior of my 72 once I repair all the rust and am ready to put in a new interior.

i am at about the same stage. i have never heard of brown bread except when i started to get smart from you guys. could some one be nice & tell me where i could read or get more info. on it??? i am looking at starting my interior in about 3 mo.

You can also get in eBay, cheaper but the shipping is higher, and the site posted above is more dough but the shipping is less so it works out the same

I'll be going with brownbread whenever I get to interior stage.

Has anyone tried Rattletrap? The specs on it show it to be 3 times thicker then most of the others. I believe it is around 105 mils thick.

Thicker will deaden better, but from my experience it is quite a bit harder to conform to any three dimensional shape. In an old pickup, I don't think there is too much complexity, so it should work well.
