700r4 cheap
I will be pulling the 700r4 out ofthe 68 this weekend. It works good after it gets hot but will not downshift when you stop when it is cold. I have changed the fluid/filter and it seemed to help a little bit. However, the fluid looks burnt again already after only 400-500 miles. I drove it a couple of hours this morning and it worked great after it got hot. I really think if the valve body was pulled and everything cleaned and polished up that it would be ok. This tranny was rebuilt by Eagle Transmissions in Lewisville about 2 1/2 years ago. It does not have convertor lock up. Somehow they convinced me to go without it. I think it should be worth around $125 so that is what I am asking.
