Thanx for the responses everyone!
I hooked the black wire to the bolt on the alt case for ground. (like "RageNRat" did on the FAQ page) I wanted to keep using the rubber boot for the big post on the alt, so I ran the red jumper wire through the boot also. Truck fire up fine, ammeter is looking good and no one can tell I swithched over becuase it looks like a stock set-up. The only money I spent was on the alternator and the alt plug for the tabs. This conversion took me about one-hour total, I highly recommend it! Hope this thread helps someone else out. Dano For sale one alternator and voltage regulator, cheap.
