Transmission install question

Hey guys:

I am planning to install a motor and a 700r4 transmission in my 69 SWB. I have the two piece driveshaft, and I was wondering if the yoke should be all the way up inside the tailshaft of the transmission? I think it should be this way because the front section of the driveshaft does not move like the rear section does. Am I correct?
Help me if you can!

Bye:

If you have one slip joint, (at the transmission) like the c-10 2 piece drive shaft than you will need to have room for movement.

The rubber mounted support allows the shaft to move so the slip joint needs to move also as the shaft moves.

However, this is not nearly as important as on a vehicle with a one piece shft. If you only give it 3/4 inch, it'll probably be all good.
