My 1st truck!!

This is my 1969 GMC 1/2 ton 4spd short step. I will be the 1st to admit that i am VERY lucky and blessed that my dad helped me buy this. I will be 16 on sept 1st, and i cant wait to drive this beast around more...

That speedo picture shows that this truck only has 78k original miles, and i totally believe it. I am(errr...my dad) is supposedly only the 3rd owner, and besides the paint, it is in overall real good condition

Feel free to comment on it, and give me your suggestions.

My next upgrade will be a sound system. After that, most likely a full exhaust w/headers. Then a set of new bumpers, and probably a paint job after that. Once i get the stance right, and some good rims, i can only really think of a teardown of the engine and a tranny rebuild. Keep in mind, i will be fixing little problems along the way. But, being a highschool student, this will take some time

I know you are 16 now so just hope you drive carefully. I am not crazy about that stick shift you have there and glad to here you are changing that rear bumper unless you are planning on pulling a tank. But a really nice truck. If you are getting A's in school that should help your Dad on the insurance. Enjoy your nice truck. You have a right to be proud, that is one sweet truck you have there.
