Does anyone have pictures of the drivers side sliding seat bracket so I can figure out were the return spring goes and what parts I am missing.

I just replaced mine and the rod was all banged up too, replacing it with a small piece of coated cable worked well and was easier to put back together. Used a new spring too, whole seat works ten times better.

It should have a hook on each end of the spring. On the utility buckets in my garage, there is a bracket that hangs down in the rear of the seat and then a hole in the side of one of the front legs. These pics are from the utility buckets...

Interesting, I didn't even think about that return spring. Know I know how that goes. I am wondering though how the return spring for the slider lock mechanism on the right side bracket is kept on. I am pretty sure that it has a similiar pieces to the left side, but, i'm not sure. if i can find out i will take mine apart and fabricate the parts.

the sides i am taking about would be if you are sitting in the seat

Do the brackets on the driver's seat look the same as yours? I know you were saying that they were wider on the utility buckets you just picked up. I didn't compair the utility buckets to the seats in my '72.

yes, they do look same. the front holes bolt up. but the rear ones are about three inches farther back.

I'm confused as to what you are looking for. The passenger seat doesn't slide forward. It is a fixed position that tilts forward to access the back seat.

Here are some pictures of the spring/brackets to tilt the seat forward. Some are from the standard buckets in my '72 and others are from the utility buckets in my garage. The standard buckets (top two photos) have the bracket in the center of the back of the seat. The bracket is on the side of the utility buckets.
