What kind of bucket seats are these?

I've been trying to sell some bucket seats that I got as part of an all-apart project truck I bought a few years ago. The truck was a 1970 C10, but as I poke around looking at other people's trucks, it's obvious that these are not 70 C10 buckets.

Anyone have any idea what they might be out of?

My guess would be a van with those lower brackets. Good luck.

Yeah, that's what I was guessing. If I could only figure out what the model year range was, I could probably get rid of these things. AFAIKT, the buckets themselves are pretty generic, so it's probably mid-70s. I have a pair of Vega seats with almost the identical seat-adjustment hardware.

After digging around on ebay for several hours, I found some seats with the same base advertised as 'Dodge van seats". They were lowback (whereas these are hiback), but the bases are dead ringers. Now if I only knew what year range they were from, I'd be in business...

My guess would be late 70's maybe even early 80's as the low back was a safety issue and high backs were the solution. My 70 Camaro has low backs and 71 and up has high backs. As far as selling them, I'd put dodge van seats and let em go, I do not think a specific year is necessary as most people looking for these are going to transplant, as the van craze has died down. I think they would look good in a Blazer after you loose the bases with like colors. My .02 pennies.

Thanks Mike, I think you're probably right. Altho the physical dimensions are an awful lot like some of the high-dollar Mopar seats on ebay right now...

If anyone else has any info on these seats, I'm all ears...

The difference would be that the van seats do not fold? I am guessing those seats do not have the latch, right? The van seats only needed to slide forward and back. Take them off of the bases and list like that other guy did (I do not know what these fit, but put Cuda Charger, Superbird in the listing) A Mopar fan will know what they are, and if they are worth it the bids will be high and if they are not you'll probably get a few emails telling you what they are. Again Good Luck!!

dodge vans had lobacks i think till at least 80//these came out of a 79 a good upholstery guy can make these look like 71-72 cevy truck buckets for less than what many guys pay for cores---these seats in good condition run $15-$20 each

Re: What kind of bucket seats are these?

I have buckets in my '70 and they are low backs and look nothing like the seats you have above. I would agree. Late 70's or early 80's.
