TH400 Yoke ?
A friend has a TH400 with a bolt on yoke, but needs to convert to a slip on yoke, and he was wondering what are the steps to do it? Is it just unbolting the yoke, and then slipping the other yoke on?

You got it. Just take the bolt out and tap the yoke off. The 400 slip yolk will slide right on.

Thanks Jeff! Do you know if there is a length difference between the 2 requiring any changes to the driveshaft length?

Hmmm. Really don't know. You're talking about the drive shaft I assume. I'm kinna thinking the slip yoke type may be a bit longer. The u-joint flange on the bolt on yoke goes from the trans to the drive shaft in a pretty short distance. Not a major problem because shortening the drive shaft is not too expensive and a lot of machine shops can do that. But honestly, I really don't know without having the yokes in front of me.
