Back Fire Problem
I bought a 68 Step Side while I was in Iraq and when I went home for leave I found out its a 327 ci a lil dissapointed but the problem I have is it started back firing after I changed the plugs to Bosh Platium plus4. Has anyone else had this problem or do you think my truck being that it wasnt driven often and when I drove the $hit out of it it might need the carb re adjusted or maybe jumped timing a lil bit?

Does it backfire and then die? or backfire all the time?
Any possibility that the plug wires were mixed up? (I only ask because I've done that before)

Chances are you broke the porcelain on one or more of them, or they may have already been damaged before you got them. What's the rest of the ignition system? a stock coil and point dizzy may not have enough poop to fire that plug. Slap in a set of good ol ac's and try it again.

Hopefully you just have a couple plug wires mixed up... If I were you I'd be happy it's a 327. Especially if the #'s match..

do yourself a favor and throw those pos plugs in the trashcan and next time save your money. it doesnt matter how many electrodes a plug has electricity takes the path of least resistance ie the quickest way to ground. those plugs are a gimmick and are probably the source of your problem. put some ac delco plugs in
