Big Block mounts F S

Changing some things around a bit. I waited for 2 months from GM for the genuine big block cushions. (68-71) In the process I came across (on a fluke) a set of 72 big block towers. Obviously I will use those because of the torque and hp and the way the truck will be used. (Tow truck). So as a result I have some 68-71 towers already cleaned and painted WITH BRAND NEW, STILL IN THE UNOPENED BOX, GM mounts complete with the sleeve and bolts. The mounts alone with shipping from GM cost me almost 180. Plus the towers So what's a fair price for the set? I'm thinking 250. plus shipping.

How goes it, Kevin?

Slight highjack, but how much are 72 BB towers goin for? I'd like to use a later style engine mount...

I do not know what they are going for on e-bay, but I got these for 20. at the local yard about a mile from my house--they had no idea what they had, bonus ---the next day I went back for some t-case parts and the fan shroud was in the back of the truck--totally cherry---looked like it just came off the GM shelf, that's how clean it was, got that for 20 also. It was a good weekend I did however have a hell of a time getting some urethane centers for the 72 captured mount, energy suspension does not specifically show a listing, just GM part numbers--turns out there are 2 different type of captured mounts. Had to make a 100 mile round trip today to get the right ones

By the way the 68-71s are still for sale. First grab is on this board, then it goes to E-Bay--probably middle of next week. Note from the parts guy at GM where I bought the mounts, he said I got the last 2 in the country. Don't know if that is true or not but I did wait over 2 months for GM to locate them for me.

Is $250 the lowest you can go? They would need to be shipped to 76133.

Re: Big Block mounts F S

They've been sold. I do however have the 72 towers and POLY cushions and all the hardware and block mounts for sale now (200. plus ride). The 72s would not work quite right in the 68. So I just left everything the way it was. I'm just gonna run the serpentine setup with the big block shroud which is 2'' shorter than the small block shroud. To many descisions and not enough time. Back to wiring.

Kevin, can you shoot me pictures of the 72's? I would like to install them in my 71. BTW, that Ford NP205 you built is holding up quite well. I can Paypal now.

Too bad I am on the other coast now. We could go wheeling.

I have a set of 71 towers, engine side mounts and marginal rubbers. I want poly to match my tranny mounts.

Re: Big Block mounts F S

My guess is that you'll be home around 9pm EST, 6PM PST.

I want the 72 set up, Kevin.

So, PM me. I know you posted this before the new changes took place...

the lower bolt holes that bolt to the subframe did not line up with the existing holes. Ordinarily this would not have been a problem but the whole drivetrain is already installed and to drill the holes, the engine would have to come out. My friend helping me suggested tack welding the lower part of the tower to the subframe--not my style. Not worth that much work in my opinion right now, I want this thing to run.
