The rules I read stated non-paying members are not allowed to SELL items but are allowed to BUY them. People come to this board for information so they can work on their own trucks themselves instead of having to pay someone to do it. This information includes finding parts that may be heavily marked up when purchased through conventional methods. Most members (like me) can’t afford to pay other people to do these things for us and would rather work on our own trucks and purchase our parts from other enthusiasts. I think limiting the selling ability to members who have donated to the board will help weed out the unscrupulous sellers. I think only members who have contributed to the board should be able to profit from it through sales. I think preventing the free trade of information for members who are just trying to find a part for their project is a bit ridiculous. Re: Wtb
you can buy whatever you want from threads posted. To post threads Want to Buy, Want to Trade or For sale are to be posted in the Classified sections of the site. The review area of the site is available for resouces on parts, as is the links sections on the main page ( which will be back up shortly) as well as the announcments area of site supporting vendors and posts asking where did you get etc on the main message boards. Noone is limiting anyones resources intentionally. FS/WTT/WTB have been limited to the classified sections all along. The only thing that has changed is posting threads on the classifieds areas are now a subscription benefit.

Re: Wtb
an add in the local paper cost more than a full years subscription. as stated unless you subscriber you cannot post a wtb wtt or for sale thread. you can however buy from people who are subscribers and post things for sale
